Yes, I don’t like Barcelona. Not just because I’m a Manchester United fan for life, but also because I find them boring like existentialist poets. They may write great poetry, but they are boring, monotonous, continuously finding the perfect wave, unconstantly not learning from their mistakes.

Like the Old Roman Empire they consider themselves “sacred”, but that happened just before the fall. Messi is a wonderful player, but the team is boring.

I don’t think strikes help people, they just leave people thinking they could have done more.

Once again, the foreign affair of Western countries in applying the usual idiocy against the IRI. It’s sad as usual. I don’t think attacking an embassy in worst than invading a country for weapons of mass distruction. The president Ahmadinejad may not be exactly the most diplomatic guy on the ground, but trade and commerce is far more important than a stupid embassy which is actually only the “institutional” image of a country, non the country itself. So, if Italian chicken Foreign Minister is closing italian embassy in Teheran.

I’m sick and tired of this blind democracy pretendig they’re good people. Iran is not a totally free country, well, yes. Can you tell me about yours? I have to pay tons of taxes, retired after 67 years old and die working. Shame on western countries, shame on Italy and shame on the blind minister.

One more. The Cards did it again. This time was, in my opinion, easier. YES, the Rangers were better at the plate, YES, the Nationl League in worst, YES, the taxans were there for the second year in a row, but, YES, the Cards are a better team. But Amy Winehouse was something new. Her voice, her music, her style. Yes, her provocative drunk-addicted style. That’s why we loved her and her style. We will miss what she told us in her lyrics and we will miss every single word, so well written and studied and so profound. One of her song was “Love is a losing game”. Maybe she meant life. We’ll never know. We can only say “thank you” and go on.

Another great boxe movie. Once again this sport stands against all odds and winning the title of movie about life. The true (and surely novelized) version of a part of the lives of Micky “Irish” Ward and his brother (both shares the mother) Dicky Eklund.

As usual we can see a fight for life, a better one if it’s possible, a fight for the love interest, a fight for freedom from a strangling family, a fight against drug addiction. At the end of the movie Bale’s character Dicky Eklund asks Micky’s fiancée what she really got from her life answering himself that we all try to make things get better.

Every actor plays its role perfectly. Mark Wahlberg prepared himself for 4 years because of the movie being delayed many times and he reached a really believable status of pugilist.

Christian Bale is perfect as the skinny drug addict trainer of the talented brother. He finally reached his academy award after many great roles in the past. If you have the chance to watch the real ring corner of Micky Ward you will see a Dicky Eklund perfectly made by Bale.

Nice work by Amy Adams in the role of Mickey girlfriend Charlene. She’s one of the reasons of Micky’s changing his mind about being trained by his surrounding family and mom. Above all, she’s there as the turning point of the movie as much as the life in jail of Dicky Eklund.

Melissa Leo got the Oscar. I don’t know exactly why she got it. She’s good, but her character is not well explained as far as she’s so cruel and a bad mom. Maybe I need to see the movie again.

As I final thought I would say that this is a nice movie, well directed with a great soundtrack and a good story. Like many od the movies I saw in the last 3 months, this is another better movie than the shitty Social Network, a real handfull of crap.

And now what? We’re close to the biggest nuclear emergency in a modern country (Soviet Union was far from beeing modern during Chernobyl incident) and we’re asking ourselves if nuclear power should continue feeding our homes and buildings with power. I don’t know. I mean, I know the risks, but I also know that if I break my leg I need x-rays. This is definitely hard to sell, both yes or no. I think renewable energies can be a solution, at least at the end of the process, but what during the period in between? We need to think that nuclear power may be at risk. And we need to know we can’t provide enough energy for everybody with renewable, at least if we don’t put solar systems on EVERY house in our countries. They say “Nuclear power is a lobby!”. What about Solar power builders when they’ll know they can sell energy to everyone?

Let me say, I don’t know what to say. People dying because of fallout is awful at least like people dying because of the lack of energy. We will see in the near future.

11/03/2011 - FIRST WIN!

You never get tired of wins, especially when you don’t see too many of them! Italian rugby has never been so close to disaster and so strong at the same time. Beating Les Bleus at Flaminio Stadium last Saturday has been a big pleasure to my heart already touched by the devastation of the tsunami in my beloved Japan. Anyway, what we saw was a great win, after a 6-18 deficit and 20 minutes of useless rugby in the second half. Then a reaction. THE reaction. And we finally had France in the six nations, after one win only in Grenoble. First in Rome, first in Six Nations against France.The breakdown was definitely where Italy won. They played trying not to give away their chances in contacts, where the French seemed to be scared of. The final 20 minutes where memorable. France players weren’t even look at each other, they didn’t talk, they looked down on the ground, to the field of their first defeat in Italy.

Dimitri Yachvili wasn’t in Rome because of a thigh injury who ruled him out. His place has been taken by Morgan Parra.

Now, we’re waiting for a possible win against Ireland and England in the next years. Let’s hope it’s not too far. As I wrote, you never get tired of wins!
